The Cotswolds: A Fairytale Come to Life

Writer's picture: Zoë ParisZoë Paris

Travel content! Yay!

A few years ago I had the privilege of visiting the English countryside, more specifically, the absolutely charming and fairytale-esque Cotswolds, located west of London. I drove past fields of green, sprawling hills dotted with sheep and trees blowing in the wind, and I had never felt more at peace. I stopped in the villages of Broadway and Chipping Campden, and wanted to share a few photos to show just a glimpse of the English charm they provide.

I mean, look at this pub in Broadway. And the house next to it.

Cows! English cows! Taken in Temple Guiting.

I mean...look at this field in Weston-sub-Edge. Medieval reenactment tower included.

A beautiful church in Chipping Campden. Very old, very English.

SHEEP! In Broadway. It was an exciting moment.

An Andy Goldsworthy-inspired piece in Broadway. It was in a garden belonging to a v cute elderly couple.

These pictures are only a tiny fraction of the beauty in the Cotswolds. If you ever have the chance to visit England, take a day to drive through this countryside and bask in the peace and tranquility of the surroundings. Everything has this indescribable charm that I wish everyone could sense.

At least you can see just a few pictures taken by yours truly to get the vibe (and with cheap flights right now...maybe...).
